The Divine Office is one of the best methods for turning your eyes away from yourself and towards God. It’s an essential part of my daily routine, coming after my first prayers of the day (see my earlier post on this) and my breakfast. During breakfast I scan what’s going on in the world and once I have thoroughly depressed myself, I turn to prayer.
